Purpose

The SPO AI Incubator exists to take larger, more complex AI initiatives from idea to delivery. Where the Catalyst programme focuses on day-to-day adoption and skills, the Incubator provides structured support for projects that require dedicated time, cross-functional collaboration, or significant tooling investment.

Principles

  • Impact first — projects are selected based on their potential to create meaningful, measurable value for SPO
  • Open by default — outputs are shared across the organisation wherever possible
  • Time-boxed — each project has a defined scope and delivery horizon
  • Supported — Incubator projects receive dedicated Catalyst support and access to the AI Program’s network
